Beyond the Broken Places

There are places we never expected to visit.

Places marked by loss, disappointment and unanswered questions. Places where what once stood strong has crumbled with time, leaving behind only fragments of what used to be.

Then God gently reminds us that He has never been limited by broken places.

The waterfall continues its journey without hesitation, flowing through stones that could not stop its course. In much the same way, His grace keeps moving through the fractures of our lives, carrying hope where we believed only sorrow could remain.

Perhaps that is why the Lord so often meets us in places we would have chosen to avoid.

Because it is there, when familiar walls have fallen and our own strength has given way, that our view is no longer blocked by what once stood between us and Him.

The ruins become the doorway.

The brokenness becomes the opening.

And the cross that seemed so distant suddenly stands before us with quiet certainty.

His promises were never buried beneath the fallen stones.

His mercy was never washed away by passing years.

His love did not disappear when our plans did.

It waited faithfully beyond the broken places, inviting us to keep walking until our eyes could finally see what had been there all along.

Sometimes the greatest evidence of God's faithfulness is not found in what remained untouched…

But in what He redeemed after everything else had fallen apart.
