Grace Never Stood Still
There are places where the world seems to whisper instead of speak.
Places where the water continues its endless journey, where weathered wood bears the marks of countless seasons and where every turning wheel quietly reminds us that some things were never meant to stand still.
This old mill is one of those places.
For years beyond remembering, the river has poured faithfully over the wheel, never asking for recognition, never demanding applause. It simply keeps moving, carrying life forward one steady turn at a time.
So often our own lives feel very different.
We endure seasons where nothing seems to change. We pray the same prayers, carry the same burdens and wonder if Heaven has grown silent. We look for dramatic answers while overlooking the quiet ways God has already been at work.
Then creation gently tells another story.
The wheel does not turn because of one great wave.
It turns because of the constant flow.
In much the same way, God's grace has carried us through moments we scarcely noticed. Through ordinary mornings, difficult conversations, unexpected detours and nights when faith felt smaller than fear, His mercy never paused.
It kept moving.
Patiently.
Faithfully.
Without interruption.
Perhaps that is why places like this awaken something deep within the soul.
They remind us that God's greatest work is often unseen, unfolding not in sudden miracles alone but in the quiet persistence of His presence. Long before we recognized His hand, He was already sustaining us. Long before we realized we were being led, His grace was already making a way.
The river has never stopped flowing.
The wheel has never stopped turning.
And neither has the love of the One who promised to walk beside us through every season.
When our strength failed…
When our plans unraveled…
When we believed nothing was happening at all…
Grace never stood still.
